Promenade Point Campground will be open again from Friday 25 October 2024 (Labour Weekend)

Promenade Point Campground is situated on the western side beachfront of Lake Taharoa and a true camping experience for tents, caravans or motorhomes. Offering non-powered spaces, unisex ablution facilities, flush toilets and 1 standard accessible toilet cubicle.

Campground fees (per night/per person)

Non-powered spaces:
Adults (15+) - $15.00
Child (5-14) - $8.00
Infants (0-4) - free 

Please note an administration fee of $10.00 will apply (per booking, amendment or cancellation) on all campground bookings whether existing or new. This applies to all bookings made via email, phone or staff (in person).

Drinking water

The water at Taharoa Domain is not supplied from a potable water source. You will need to bring your own drinking water with you.  The water supplied is only to be used for cleaning, showering and the toilets.

Non-powered spaces

Large, level, non-allocated campsites. Ideal for tents, motorhomes and caravans. Set on the shores of the beautiful Lake Taharoa.

When booking non-powered camping you require spaces equivalent to the number of people in your group, including children 5 years and older. You are not booking a site. This is to ensure we do not exceed our allowable maximum campers in the campground at any given time.

Kitchen facilities are not available at this campground.
